Is your idea of a complete outfit incomplete without the perfect purse? Have you ever dreamed of owning some of the world's most beautiful handbags? Or do you simply want a change of pace from your backpack now that grad school is over and your career is starting up? Maybe you want a variety of handbags yet know that with some fashion house's price tags you could buy a real house of your own!

Bag Borrow or Steal offers all their customers the ultimate luxury, a plethora of handbags that can be borrowed and returned for a very reasonable monthly fee - no need to break the bank or forgo that ski trip to Andorra.
Bag, Borrow or Steal

Just click, order and return from the comfort of your home and if you really fall in love with the bag you borrow, ownership is not out of the question.

Originally started by two men - one of whom never ceased to be dazzled by the copious number of handbags that his sister, mother and wife owned - this unique Seattle-based company is setting a successful online marketing trend that is due to skyrocket.

BBS's Marketing director, Julie Kouhia explains:  "I think the success and positive feedback we've received is just remarkable; everyone is happy with this different business model. People are very passionate about handbags and with multiple 'it' bags this year, self expression is the trend, no size required.

"Founders Loyd Lapidus and Greg Pippo had dabbled in fashion and felt that there was no reason that beautiful handbags should not be made accessible to the general public."

Does the idea of you toting a genuine designer handbag seem unfathomable? Don't be intimidated, the service is very consumer friendly, with three membership levels in which the bags and prices differ.

Believe it or not, there is no time limit on borrowing! As long as your account is in good standing, the frequency of bag rotation is completely up to you.

The entry-level is Trendsetter.  Bags by designers such as Coach and Kate Spade offer the career woman a variety of sensible options.  The second level is Princess, which features lines such as Dooney and Burke, Fendi, Juicy Couture, Betsy Johnson, and BCBG, which give the budding fashionista a wider variety to choose from.  The third level is Diva.  Options include Kooba, Kenneth Cole, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel, among others.  This level is where handbag addicts will feel right at home.  The Diva membership can be increased to include the most elite couture bags, such as the Chloe Paddington.

Each of the three membership levels gives you access to bags from any of the lower levels of membership as well.  Believe it or not, there is no time limit on borrowing! As long as your account is in good standing, the frequency of bag rotation is completely up to you.  Monthly fees start the day the bag is shipped and insurance is available, since the inside of a handbag can be a very dangerous place.  "Some normal wear and tear is expected," adds Julie Kouhia, "but most of our customers treat these bags as if they were borrowing them from their own mother or sister."  Bags are always cleaned meticulously at the Chicago shipping center.

Suppose you fall in love with your bag?  You then have the option to "steal" it.  Bag Borrow or Steal then presents a price quote to the customer, allowing her to take home forever the bag of her dreams.
