Blanchett, who is married to writer Andrew Upton, plays a schoolteacher who has an affair with a teenage student in new film Notes On A Scandal.

But in reality she is more turned on by older men.

She says, "I just don't understand women who go out with younger men.

"Even women who date men only five years younger than them, I can't relate to it.

"I would understand sleeping with a 60-year-old more."
