Judging Amy teen actress Tara Correa-McMullen has been killed in a gang shooting at the tender age of 16.

Correa-McMullen was fatally shot several times as she stood outside an apartment complex in Inglewood, California on 21 October (05). No suspects have been identified, although the police believe the shooting was gang-related.

Sergeant Steve Overly says, "She may have just been at the wrong place at the wrong time."
 
At the actress' funeral on Friday (28OCT05), her parents Devora Correa and Thomas McMullen paid tribute to their daughter's friendly nature, saying she would socialise with everyone "whether they were a grip or a caterer".

Correa-McMullen played a former gang member Graciela in eight episodes of Judging Amy and had made her big screen debut in Rebound earlier this summer.
